The U.S. Senate HELP Committee voted today to approve the OAA reauthorization bill after defeating the Burr amendment by a margin of 14-7—the amendment would have eliminated the “hold harmless” provisions in the Act, which were introduced in the Act’s 2006 Reauthorization.
